Builders FirstSource published its 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, highlighting achievements in safety, operations, and in its local communities.

According to the CSR report, Builders FirstSource delivered an “industry leading” total recordable incident rate of 1.54, a 30% reduction compared to last year. Nearly 60% of the dealer’s facilities were accident-free in 2023 and Builders FirstSource installed safety cameras in over 95% of its heavy- and medium-duty trucks. The company plans to equip its light-duty vehicles by the end of 2024.

Operationally, the company highlighted that nearly 95% of Builders FirstSource’s wood is from Sustainable Forestry Initiative or Forest Stewardship Council certified vendors. The company says it saved more than 1.5 million trees through the sale of its “more efficient” manufactured products.

Within the company, Builders FirstSource redesigned and bolstered its benefit offering and offered approximately 20 hours of training per team member. Additionally, Builders FirstSource delivered more than $4 million in charitable giving in 2023 to support its local communities.

Irving, Texas-based Builders FirstSource operates approximately 570 locations across 43 states. The company offers manufacturing, supply, delivery, and installation of a full range of structural and related building products for its customers.
