Boston Cedar announced three executive changes today at the building materials distributor that take effect April 1:
- Co-founding partner Rob Ankner will take the newly created postiion of chairman;
- Joe Cusack will become president; and
- Paul Colliton will take Cusack's former title of vice president of sales and marketing.
The changes come at the end of a month in which Holbrook, Mass.-based Boston Cedar celebrated its 25th anniversary. While Ankner becomes company chairman, fellow founding partners Tony Morgan and Bob Vasquezi remain as owners. "Since the inception of the company, Rob has always been enthusiastic about finding the next best product and formulating creative but practical marketing campaigns to deliver solutions to the marketplace," Boston Cedar said in a statement."By relinquishing control of his operational responsibilities, Rob will be in a position of devoting more time to his true passion of anticipating the needs and wants of the independent LBM dealer."
As the new president, Cusack will be responsible for day-to-day activities. Meanwhile, Boston Cedar said Colliton has spent more than three decades in the LBM industry and was owner of an independent LBM distribution business.
