Culpeper Wood Preservers announced the acquisition of a treating plant in Sweetwater, Tenn. With the completion of the purchase, Culpeper Wood Preservers has 14 locations within its footprint.

“We are very excited with this acquisition. The plant in Tennessee complements our current operations and further expands our footprint in the southeastern US markets,” Jonathan Jenkins, president of Culpeper Wood Preservers, said in a news release. “This strategic addition to our company will provide greater value to our current customers, as well as expand our capacity and geographic reach.”

Culpeper Wood Preservers, founded in 1976, is a manufacturer of pressure treated products for commercial, residential, industrial, and marine markets. Culpeper Wood brand name products are sold exclusively through lumber dealers throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Mid-West, and Southeast.

“We could not be more excited about this addition to our company,” Chris Brown, director of business development for Culpeper Wood Preservers, said. “Having a plant in Tennessee allows us to strengthen our current distribution coverage while giving us access to new markets as well. We look forward to the opportunity to build enduring partnerships with the retail lumber yards in this area.”
