Carter Lumber opened a full-service lumberyard in Columbia, S.C. The company said the new facility enables Carter Lumber to provide a “comprehensive range of products and services” to professional builders in the Columbia metro.
The Columbia lumberyard will serve as an extension of the company’s Charlotte and Triad, N.C., markets, operating under the management team headed by market vice president Brandon Kujawski.
“Carter Lumber has serviced builders in Columbia for years from our Charlotte market, but this new location will allow us to finally provide the complete package, from products to service, for those builders and many more,” Kujawski said. “We strive to provide the best service in this industry, and we’re excited to prove that to home builders in Columbia.”
Gareth Rumley joined Carter Lumber as the general manager of the new lumberyard. He and the management team are interviewing for operations and sales positions, according to Carter Lumber.
The lumberyard will stock a range of lumber and millwork products as well as windows, interior and exterior doors, engineered wood products, cement siding, and structural hardware. Additionally, the location will offer full estimating and design solutions for roof and floor trusses, wall panels, engineered wood floor systems, and cabinetry.
