Cameron Ashley Building Products, recently known as Guardian Building Products, is opening a distribution center in Cleveland, Ohio, according to a news release from the company. The facility will have a 150-mile service radius and replace an existing company facility in nearby Macedonia, Ohio.
The distribution center will provide sales and inventory support in roofing, insulation gypsum, and other building materials. Suppliers to the Cleveland location will include CertainTeed Roofing, Continental Building Products, Knauf Insulation, Lomanco Vents, National Gypsum, TAMKO Roofing, Titanium/RhinoRoof, and USG.
Greenville, S.C.-based Cameron Ashley, a portfolio company of Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, is a distributor of roofing, insulation, gypsum, and other specialty building products with more than 30 distribution centers in 20 states nationwide.
The facility opening is part of a series of recent moves made under Pacific Avenue’s ownership of Cameron Ashley. Los Angeles-based Pacific Avenue acquired the company in late April 2018 and changed the company’s name from Guardian Building Products to Cameron Ashley Building Products earlier this month. In addition to the distribution center’s opening, Cameron Ashley has also acquired St. Louis-based distributor Warrior Building Products.
