Buildxact, a software solutions provider for builders, remodelers, and dealers, announced CEO David Murray will step down from his position, effective May 2024. Steve Yates, formerly executive vice president of enterprise sales at the company, will succeed Murray as CEO.

“The opportunities for Buildxact to continue growth and achieve scale as a global business were foremost in the board’s mind,” John Allison, chairman of the board of directors, said. “A thorough professional search and interview process identified experienced SaaS leaders as exceptional candidates for the CEO role in this next phase. Steve Yates’ experience and successful growth of businesses in the industry and understanding of Buildxact customers and team leadership were exceptional factors in Steve’s successful candidature and appointment as CEO.”

Murray has served as CEO since 2017, leading Buildxact through its growth in Australia and New Zealand and expansion into North America.

“I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved at Buildxact over the past seven years,” Murray said. “It has been an honor to lead such a passionate and talented team from a very small stage to a global player.”

Yates has served as EVP of enterprise and industry partner channels since January 2020. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Cliftonvale from 2006 to 2020.

“I am excited and honored to take on this new role,” Yates said. “We have an incredible team and an unmatched commitment to innovation and customer success. I am eager to lead Buildxact as we continue to deliver industry-leading solutions and advancements that empower our customers to achieve their business goals.”
