BlueLinx Holdings, a wholesale distributor of building products, announced three senior leadership changes aimed at strengthening “commercial alignment” throughout the organization to advance its sales growth strategy.

The distributor has appointed Mike Wilson as chief commercial officer and he will report directly to the CEO. In the new role, Wilson will oversee the commercial leadership team, comprised of BlueLinx’s five regional vice presidents and the vice president of national accounts. The company said Wilson’s transition into the commercial leadership role from his previous role as chief product management officer “underscores the importance of our product mix and vendor relationships to our core sales growth strategy.”

Additionally, Leo Oei has been named vice president of product management. In the role, he will lead the product management teams and report directly to the CEO. Oei has previously served as the general manager of BlueLinx’s Denville, N.J., and Long Island, N.Y., branches for BlueLinx and brings over two decades of procurement and supply chain expertise to the role.

David Sherwood has been promoted to the role of regional vice president of the north region from his previous role as general manager of BlueLinx’s Erwin, Tenn., branch. Sherwood has previously served as the general manager of BlueLinx’s Minneapolis, Minn., branch, as regional director of operations in the north region, and as integration leader for the distributor’s Vandermeer acquisition.

“We are thrilled to announce the appointments of Mike, Leo, and Dave, as they underscore our commitment to enhancing the customer experience, accelerating sales growth and strengthening our ability to take our vendors’ products to market,” Shyam Reddy, president and CEO of BlueLinx, said.
