Beacon opened a greenfield location in Longview, Texas. The distributor said the new location will service the east Texas market, supporting Gregg County customers.
“We are pleased to expand Beacon’s footprint in this growing corridor where Interstate 20 and U.S. highways 80 and 259 converge,” Peter Lippert, Beacon’s regional vice president of Texas, said in a prepared statement. “This new branch is stocked with leading brands of residential and commercial roofing and complementary products, including Beacon’s own TRI-BUILT products. In addition, customers on the go across the region can use our mobile app, Beacon PRO+, to save time and track deliveries.”
The Longview branch represents the third Texas greenfield opening in 2023 for Beacon and its fourth branch opening nationwide this year. The company said it plans to open at least 15 branches by the end of 2023. The distributor said the greenfield openings are an example of “the significant progress Beacon has made towards achieving growth above market and excellence in customer experience” as outlined in its Ambition 2025 strategy.
Herndon, Va.-based Beacon distributes roofing materials and complementary building products. The company operates over 480 branches throughout all 50 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
