Professional Builders Supply (PBS) recently hired Trae McElheny as the company’s Charleston market president. McElheny brings over 30 years of experience in the building materials industry to the position.

McElheny is relocating from Denver, Co., where he has worked the past seven years as the category manager of supply chain for Builders FirstSource. McElheny previously worked as a general manager for ProBuild Gypsum and BMC and as a manager for CM Tucker Lumber.

Raleigh, N.C.-based PBS ranked 22nd on the 2019 ProSales 100 and generated $306.7 million in revenue in 2018. The dealer sells and distributes building materials out of nine facilities in five markets across North and South Carolina. The company recently expanded into the Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C., market in April and acquired Sumter, S.C.-based H2H Commercial in November.
