Owens Corning announced today that it has appointed Chuck Dana as group president of its building materials division following the resignation of current group president Karel Czanderna. The company also announced it has promoted Arnaud Genis to group president of the composites division to fill the void left by Dana's promotion. The changes are effective immediately.
Dana has worked for Owens Corning since 1996 and has been group president of the composites division since 2002. He helped complete the company's acquisition of Saint Gobain's reinforcements and composite fabrics business in 2007. Prior to his promotion, Genis served as the vice president and managing director of the Owens Corning's European composites division.
"I am extremely pleased with these leadership changes," said Owens Corning Chairman and CEO Mike Thaman. "I anticipate that Chuck and Arnaud will continue to drive significant value for our shareholders, customers and employees."
Owens Corning is a global producer of residential and commercial building materials, glass-fiber reinforcements and engineered materials for composite systems. The company posted $4.8 billion in sales during 2009 and employs about 16,000 people in 28 countries.
