Nation’s Best appointed Summer Loveland as the company’s chief financial officer, succeeding interim CFO Rick Allen. In the interim position, Allen assisted Nation’s Best with the company’s initial store acquisitions and financial reporting framework.

Prior to joining Nation’s Best, Loveland served as the chief accounting officer of publicly traded land developer and homebuilder Green Brick Partners. With the company, Loveland led the accounting, treasury, technology, risk management, and internal audit functions. The incoming chief financial officer also served as the CFO of the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System and worker in the audit practice of KPMG for 15 years.

“We are thrilled to have Summer join our growing team,” president and CEO Chris Miller said in a news release. “With over 25 years of financial accounting and operational experience in a range of leadership roles, Summer will provide Nation’s Best with financial and strategic guidance, as well as help us fine-tune scalable processes and procedures, which will be instrumental as we continue to execute on our strategic growth plans.”

Nation’s Best, founded in 2019, is a member-owner of Do It Best Corp. The company operates nine locations in Texas and Oklahoma. The company has expanded via acquisitions of three-unit Groom & Sons’ and Lambert Lumber in February and five-unit Bridgeport Building Centers in March.
