Jackson Lumber & Millwork named a new executive team in conjunction with the retirement of longtime president and CEO Al Torrisi. Sons Mark Torrisi and Jay Torrisi will serve as president and CEO/treasurer, respectively, while nephew Joseph Torrisi will become executive vice president.
Al Torrisi has led Lawrence, Mass.-based Jackson for 29 years. In 2004, he was named ProSales'Public Service Leader. Jackson Lumber ranks 56th on the latest ProSales 100, with sales of $53.2 million in 2010. Roughly 90% of those sales were to pros. Jackson currently has three branches, but recently it purchased the former Eastern Lumber Co. in Amesbury, Mass., and plans to open a new branch there this spring.
Al Torrisi revealed the management changes on Jan. 4 during the company's annual meeting. He will remain chairman of the board.
