At its annual stockholders meeting, Builders FirstSource (BFS) elected Ramsey Frank, Kevin Kruse, and company CEO Floyd Sherman to its board of directors. All seats are for three-year terms.

Paul Levy, David Barr, Cleveland Christophe, and Craig Steinke continue as directors and, if nominated, will stand for re-election at the 2011 annual meeting.

Michael Graff, Robert Griffin, and Brett Milgrim will also continue as directors and stand for re-election in 2012, if nominated.

Last April, Dallas-based BFS reported an increase in commodity prices swamped the modest sales gains that company recorded during the first quarter and led to a net loss of $31.4 million during the period, slightly deeper than the $30.6 million net loss in 2009's first quarter.

Sales rose 1.1% to $161.4 million in the first quarter, primarily because of commodity inflation. But the cost of sales jumped 4.7% from the year-earlier period to $131.9 million. That pushed the gross margin down by $4 million.

BFS ranked 10th on the latest ProSales 100 listing with total 2009 sales of $678 million.
