You need to use two perspectives to analyze this year’s list of the nation’s biggest pro dealers. Viewed just for what happened in 2014, not much appears to have changed at the top. But given BFS’ plans to acquire ProBuild and a slew of other major deals announced since January, this year’s list is looking increasingly like the signpost for the end of an era.
