Bold thinking. Creative solutions. Future plans. Regardless of what set them apart, the winners of this year's ProSales Excellence Awards all displayed special qualities that made their achievements worth celebrating.
Take 84 Lumber, which bet $20 million that its audacious Super Bowl ad would win the dealer fame … and recruits. Tum-A-Lum Lumber earned a more modest measure of renown through its savvy use of social media. US LBM and HPM Building Supply focused on building their workforces through employee development programs, while Curtis Lumber and Eikenhout Inc. showed that not all showrooms need to look the same.
Three judges picked this year's winners: Daryl Lundberg, president of Northwoods Lumber Co., which has operations in the towns of Bemidji and Blackduck, Minn.; Rick Davis, president of Building Leaders, a Chicago-based consultancy that helps improve dealers’ sales skills; and Chris Rader, president of Rader Solutions, an IT company based in Lafayette, La.
The judges had sole authority to decide which of the Excellence Award entries deserved a prize. Come see what makes this year's group special.
