After working with her grandfather and father in their family-owned lumberyards in Georgia, Stefanie Couch knew she wanted to pursue a career in LBM.
Couch joined Boise Cascade in May 2012 as an inside sales rep for millworks. In her six years in this role, Couch grew her sales from $625,000 to $9 million. During the same period, Couch played an integral role in the growth of the millwork division for Boise Cascade from $5 million to $40 million in annual sales. Rusty Winter, general manager at Boise Cascade, says many customers regard Couch as the best customer service person they deal with in the industry.
In addition to increasing sales volume, Couch also helped create a formalized program for new hires in the millwork division and traveled to other Boise Cascade locations in the Southeast to develop associates and new startups, according to Winter.
Couch was promoted to millwork marketing manager in January 2019, where she has since worked on digital marketing, social media, literature, displays, pricing, inventory, and business growth strategies. Earlier this year, Couch was identified as one of the future leaders of the company and graduated from Boise Cascade’s Future of Leadership program.
