Kari Gaviria’s commitment to success is multidimensional. After joining Madison Wood’s sales team in 2012, she helped double annual sales in six years, which helped her earn the role of sales manager in 2018. In 2019, under Gaviria’s leadership, the company celebrated six record-breaking sales months, with annual revenue exceeding $100 million.

As if this wasn’t enough, Gaviria also took on projects outside of sales, often without prompting, says Madison Wood CEO Bill Price. President Steven Lillard says she introduced new technology and programs, some of which have been adopted by billion-dollar suppliers. Gaviria helped develop the contractor best practices course, Madwood Installer, and the manager trainee program, MADskillz, which she currently teaches. She also helped revamp Madison Wood’s employee evaluation protocol and onboarding process. And Gaviria spearheaded efforts that recognized the company as the “World’s Greatest Lumber Treater” in 2016 by How2Media. Additionally, Gaviria writes Madison Wood’s MADWORD blog and manages the company’s social media accounts.

Eric Rabidoux, a purchasing agent with Lenoble Lumber, said Gaviria is “what the [LBM] industry should be looking for” when recruiting talent.
