The NAHB posted its analysis of data gathered from the Quarterly Starts and Completions by Purpose and Design survey Wednesday morning. Custom home building starts declined slightly from 27,000 in the first quarter of 2014 to 26,000 in the first quarter of 2015. For smaller dealers, custom homes are a significant piece of their business. Some areas of the housing market are showing recovery, so market share for custom homes is expected to continue to fluctuate.
