ProSales was created because we believed most people fail to understand the key role LBM dealers play in helping pros pick the right products. In 2009, we presented fresh evidence making that point. Now we’ve commissioned a new survey of dealers nationwide that affirm past results.

It shows that dealers recommend specific brands nearly three out of four times they deal with a customer, and more than one out of four times they bring a new product to the customer’s attention. That’s the right approach to take, because a survey by our sister publication, Remodeling found that pros rate a product’s quality and performance No. 1 among all the factors that go into picking a product.
