Building products distributor BlueLinx reported a net gain of $3.1 million for the third quarter, up from a loss of $6.2 million a year ago, riding on higher wood-product prices and a shift away from the direct- and reload buying channels and toward the warehouse channel as customers renew confidence in building up their inventories. The company cut its operating expenses from $57.1 million a year earlier to $50.3 million during the quarter.  Read the full results.
