Several weeks ago, Amazon launched its new venture Amazon Lumberyard. Upon hearing about the new platform, Ian Bogost, a contributing editor to The Atlantic and a home-improvement enthusiast, thought that Amazon was going to start shipping lumber to contractors. After learning that Lumberyard is an online 3D game engine, Bogost took to Twitter to complain:
I'm still pretty upset that Amazon Lumberyard isn't a lumber delivery service.
A few weeks later, the team at Amazon Lumberyard made Bogost a happy, albeit pranked, customer: they sent him some maple boards with this note:
We take customer feedback seriously. Please enjoy your lumber.
From: Amazon Lumberyard.
