SRS Acquisition Corp., the fast-growing Texas-based operation that has been acquiring roofing companies around the country, announced today its Shake & Shingle Supply brand has expanded from its Denver location to a new location in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The branch's sole focus will be on roofing product and "roof top delivery capaiblities," SRS said in a news release. The location, including almost 30,000 square feet of warehouse psace and three acres of outside storage, opened today, SRS said. Its primarily market area will stretch along Interstate 35 from soutside Denver to Pueblo.

"We continue to look for attractive opportunities in this down economy to expand our footprint and create homes for the industry's best talent," Dan Tinker, chief operating officer of McKinney, Texas-based SRS, said in a statement. "With this investment, which will double our capacity in the Colorado market, we intend to demonstrate our long-term commitment to the entire region and begin the transformation of Shake & Shingle from a small independent into a regional market leader. We are extremely fortunate to have the mixture of internal and external talent available to build this all-star team to service this very important market."

With the new store, SRS now operations 29 locations under various names in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, Illinois, Colorado, Washington and Oregon under various names. SRS broke onto the ProSales 100 this year, ranking 29th with 2008 total sales of $120 million. It's gunning to boost this year's sales 66% to $200 million, and is aiming to break the $1 billion mark by 2012. (See related article.).
