Beacon Roofing Supply, No. 4 on the ProSales 100, moved into Oregon today when it announced it has acquired Woodfeathers, a 61-year-old residential roofing supplier with branches in Portland, Beaverton, and Oregon City, Ore., as well as the Portland suburb of Vancouver, Wash. No terms were disclosed.

The acquisition plugs a big hole out West for Herndon, Va.-based Beacon. Until now, Beacon didn't have a single store in the triangle bounded by Seattle; Boise, Idaho; and Sacramento, Calif. "Joining the Beacon family presents tremendous opportunities for everyone at Woodfeathers as Beacon executes upon its Pacific Northwest growth plans," said Lee Gotcher, Woodfeathers' president and co-owner.

Today's announcement marks the third straight month in which Beacon revealed an acquisition in the month's opening days. On May 2, Beacon acquired Fox Brothers Co., a distributor of roofing, siding, doors, windows, and other products out of locations in Lansing, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Howell, Mich. And on April 1, Beacon revealed it had acquired Atlantic Building Products and Lyf-Tym Building Products, Atlantic operates two locations in Warminster and Quakertown, Pa., while
Lyf-Tym has locations in Hickory, Monroe, and Greensboro, N.C. and in Roanoke, Va.

Beacon posted sales of $2.52 billion in 2015, up 8.1% from 2014.
