The additions are:
- A new Roofling Supply & Delivery store in Provo, Utah
- A new B&L Wholesale Supply store in Pittsburgh
- A new Southern Shingles store in Little Rock, Ark.
"The new locations ... represent our eighth, ninth, and 10th greenfield openings this year," Dan Tinker, SRS' president and chief operating officer, said in a statement. "... We look forward to continued growth and geographic coverage in Utah, Pennsylvania, and Arkansas as we strategically build upon the heritage and strength of the SRS family of brands."
McKinney, Texas-based SRS is the holding company for 22 different companies. It specializes in roofing products. Its sales rose 28% last year to $1.22 billion, according to its latest ProSales 100 report.
SRS has been among the most active players in the mergers and acquisition market this year. On May 27, it announced it would acquire Advanced Building Products, a six-unit operation based in Hanrahan, La. In April, it opened new locations in Castroville, Calif., and Honolulu. In March, it bought Roofers Supply & Service of St. Louis, and opened new locations in Kennewick, Wash. and San Angelo, Texas.
