Former long-time president of the Building Material Suppliers Association (BMSA), Larry W. Adams became general manager of Robinson Builders Mart, the Newton, N.C. dealer announced today.

For 36 years, Adams was president of the former Southern Building Materials Association, which merged last year with the Ohio Construction Suppliers Association to form the new BMSA. He brings four decades of industry experience to the new post where his primary goal will be to continue the company’s mission of serving the construction industry and local community’s building material needs.

He said he’s “delighted to be in Newton and have the opportunity to work with the excellent staff and customers at Robinson’s.”

Robinson Builders Mart provides lumber and building materials to Newton, Catawba Valley and the surrounding areas of North Carolina. The late Leon Robinson founded the company in 1947. The business is still owned by his daughters Deborah Robinson and Pam McGuire.

Lynn Schwarz was recently named president of BMSA.
