The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) elected Dan Fesler of Lamperts, St. Paul, Minn., as its chair for 2010 and Joe Collings of Ferguson Lumber, Rockville, Ind., as chair-elect.

Cally Coleman Fromme of Zarsky Lumber, Victoria, Texas, was named vice chair and thus goes onto the ladder to become head of the NLBMDA board in 2012. That would make her the first female chair in NLBMDA history. Treasurer Linda Nussbaum of Kleet Lumber, Huntington, N.Y. , will keep that job through October 2011.

The vote occurred in Arizona last week during NLBMDA's annual meeting. At that time the board also approved its budget for 2010. During a speech to Mountain States LBM dealers on Oct. 2, then-chair (and now immediate past chair) Paul Hylbert of ProBuild, Denver, said NLBMDA has balanced its budget for the past two years and could be $40,000 to $60,000 in the black this year depending on how revenues from its annual meeting turned out. He noted that one of NLBMDA's major assets--a townhouse on Capitol Hill in Washington--hasn't been sold as previously planned but does have a long-term tenant in the Democratic Party National Committee.

NLBMDA's board also selected Bill Pohl, general manager of Princeton Delivery Systems, Canal Winchester, Ohio, as the chair of its Manufacturers and Services Council. And Geri Adams, executive vice president of the Denver-based Mountain States Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association, has become the chair of the Federated Association Executives.
