Galliher & Huguely of Washington, D.C., celebrated the grand opening of a new showroom and design center in Chevy Chase, Md. Brian Roberts, who oversaw the multi-year effort that led to the branch's opening, will serve as the store's general manager. Donna Godwin will be director of design services. The showroom will emphasize cabinetry—a first for the company—as well as countertops, cabinet hardware, windows, and interior doors. There are plans to add decking once work on another part of the store is complete.
John H. Myers & Son, a York, Pa.-based dealer, launched a new vinyl siding program featuring CertainTeed brand siding. The program is available to builders and remodelers and includes and extensive inventory, all the accessories and companion products, and delivery.

Steve Michael of B&L Wholesale Supply in New York won a Royal Caribbean cruise.
Worden Lumber, a dealer in Worden, Ill., filed a lawsuit against a former bookkeeper, claiming she embezzled more than $150,000 from the company when she worked there.
Russin Lumber, which distributes and manufactures building materials in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, hired Lauren Litwin to its outside sales team. Litwin will work with the company's dealer network on Massachusetts's North Shore, in southeastern New Hampshire, and in Maine.
