BMC, the eighth-biggest dealer on the ProSales 100, announced today the formal opening in Fort Worth, Texas, of its second BMC Design Center.

"This innovative showroom was developed to give designers, architects, home builders and home buyers an inspirational environment for making interior finish product selections, including: doors and specialty millwork, cabinets and countertops, designer hardware, windows and more," BMC sid in a statement. The design center is set up more like a model home and features multimedia and hands-on presentations.

Today's opening follows the opening last November of a BMC design center in Salt Lake City. BMC, which operates in 16 markets in 10 states, plans to open design centers in the next six months in Dallas and Austin, Texas, as well as in Helena, Mont., then follow with other centers in every other market within two years. It posted sales of $1.2 billion last year.
