Memphis, Tenn.-based Central Network Retail Group (CNRG) entered the Pacific Northwest region with the acquisition of Parkrose Hardware in Oregon and Washington.

Parkrose Hardware operates two stores located in Portland, Ore., and in Vancouver, Wash. CNRG says the Parkrose stores provide a full assortment of hardware, plumbing, tools, paint, and lawn and garden supplies, but are differentiated by their fastener and rental departments plus a thriving commercial and industrial division.

“We are excited about the addition of Parkrose Hardware to our company,” said chairman Jimmy R. Smith. “Parkrose is our first step out West and will serve as a foundation for our growth in the Pacific Northwest.”

Parkrose co-owner Bryan Ableidinger will continue on at the hardware company and become a consultant to CNRG on other corporate initiatives. “We have been looking for several years for the right path forward for our Parkrose brand,” said Ableidinger. “With CNRG's expertise, capital, and growth-oriented outlook, we feel that we have found exactly what we were seeking.”

CNRG ranked 79th on the 2014 ProSales 100 with $112 million in 2013 sales, 40% to pros. The company operates 45 home centers, hardware stores, and lumberyards in nine states under 10 different brands.
