BMC, ranked eighth on the ProSales 100 list of building materials suppliers, will move its corporate headquarters from Boise, Idaho, to fast-growing Atlanta, Ga.

The company says the relocation will be done on a phased basis with the executive team moving immediately. The Boise office will continue to remain operational.

“This was a decision based on BMC‘s fast organic growth, its need to fill key management positions to support that growth and expand geographically beyond BMC’s current footprint,” says CEO Peter Alexander.“Both management and the board were unanimous that BMC required a more central location with a larger population base and fully accessible air travel.”

BMC operates in 16 markets in 10 states, eight of which are in the top 25 single-family construction markets, and has in excess of 5,000 employees. The company ranked eighth on the 2014 ProSales 100 with $1.2 billion in 2013 sales.
