Weaknesses in the timber market last year hurt the revenues of several ProSales 100 dealers that specialize in selling large volumes of lumber, but even with those headwinds, these companies often ranked among the group's leaders in terms of sales per facility. Here is the top 10 list based on the soon-to-be-released 2016 ProSales 100:
|Overall PS100 Rank||Company||No. of Locations||Sales/Location ($mlns)|
|49||Reliable Wholesale Lumber||2||$64.1|
|15||Golden State Lumber||7||$58.0|
|81||Texas Plywood & Lumber||1||$46.8|
|86||Louis J. Grasmick Lumber||1||$46.2|
|92||Buck Lumber & Building Supply||1||$42.6|
|94||Yoder's Building Services||1||$38.3|
The average revenue per facility for all 100 companies in this year's ProSales 100 is $16.2 million. The median point is $12.3 million.
All of the top 10 firms operate in coastal states or in Texas. And while the average ProSales 100 company has 40 locations and the top biggest firms on the PS100 average 139 branches, the average for the group above is just 2.7.
Several of these firms also were among the top 10 in terms of sales per employee.
