The PROSALES Excellence Awards honor outstanding achievements in construction supply in showroom design, facility design, technology, marketing and customer service, education, advertising, and websites. The awards program celebrates business leaders whose creativity and ingenuity have not only improved and reinvigorated their own companies but have also set new benchmarks for service in the entire industry

Dealers and distributors competed in seven categories: Best
Advertisement, Best Marketing Campaign, Best Website, Best Showroom, Best
Facility Design, Best Educational Program, and Best Use of Technology. A panel
of four independent judges then decided which entries, regardless of the
category, achieved excellence and which other entries were worthy of merit.
The four judges picking the winners were: Chris Rader, PROSALES columnist and president, Rader Solutions, Lafayette, LA; Rick Davis, PROSALES columnist and president, Building Leaders, Chicago; Paul Hylbert, chairman and CEO, Kodiak Building Partners, Denver; and Robert Sanford, president, Sanford & Hawley, Unionville, CT.
BMC was honored for launching and promoting a series of design centers that show off its prowess in millwork and interior products, while Van Millwork’s marketing award had a similar connection: It was for a video that the company created to promote visits to its design center. Meanwhile, Friedman’s won for its construction of a new store that appeals to both professional contractors and do-it-yourselfers without inducing what Friedman’s staffers call “big-box fatigue.”
One Merit Award went to Professional Builders Supply for a series of poster ads it created introducing customers to its staff members and showing how committed to service those employees are. L&W’s award recognized the redesign of its stores to reflect new corporate priorities. And back in California, Hudson Street Design was cited for creating a showroom that’s attuned to the lifestyles and needs of its Marin County customer base.

The three Grand Award winners also will receive a $500 check to give to the
charity of their choice, while the three Merit Award winners each get $150
