The 2007 ProSales Excellence Award winners are different in their respective categories but alike in what makes them this year's finest: a commitment to quality, service, and advancing their businesses with doses of both cleverness and economy. It's not easy to do well in hard times, but in this, the sixth year for the awards, the judges found reasons to cheer tricked-out facilities, clever ad campaigns, sparkling showrooms, and Web sites with muscle.

Six winners and three honorable mentions were chosen from the categories of facilities design, advertising, Web site, showroom design, and marketing and customer service. This year's judges were: Mike Butts, ProSales New Dimensions columnist and president of LBM Solutions in DeWitt, Mich.; Rick Davis, ProSales Sell Sheet columnist and president of Building Leaders Inc. in Chicago; Tim Espy, sales manager for Boone County Lumber in Columbia, Mo.; and Bill Hofius, senior vice president at Ply Mart in Norcross, Ga.

We will honor this year's winners at an awards breakfast Feb. 14, 2008, during the International Builders' Show in Orlando, Fla., where each will receive $1,000 checks to give to the charities of their choice.
